Effective & Holistic Exercise
Rowing is the most effective, comprehensive, relatively simple, and injury-safe physical activity. Regardless of your age, height, weight, or fitness level, the Concept2 rowing simulator brings the experience of water rowing to you.
Rowing on the simulator allows users to perform aerobic and anaerobic workouts, achieve and maintain their target fitness levels, as the full-body movement during exercise requires a significant energy expenditure. Proper technique helps prevent overloading the spine, individual limbs, and joints, enabling workouts of any duration.
Because it involves almost the entire muscular system and a wide range of motion with each stroke, the body needs good support for the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, whose capabilities can be noticeably improved through regular rowing.
During rowing, muscles and joints move through a much larger range of motion compared to most other activities. This means muscles stretch and joints move more extensively, providing greater muscle flexibility and joint mobility. Muscular loads are symmetrical, as both the left and right sides of the body are equally engaged and strengthened, with smooth and rhythmic movement, without sudden jerks. Due to the seated position during exercise, increased body weight has minimal impact on joint stress. This significantly reduces the risk of injuries during workouts.
The specific design of the equipment and movement patterns facilitate effective regeneration of muscle mass and strength, as well as the mobility of (injured) joints. For this reason, such exercise is often incorporated into rehabilitation programs for top athletes, recreational users, and even individuals who do not normally engage in sports.
