Who am I?

I am Iztok Čop – the first Olympic medalist and Olympic champion for independent Slovenia, and the most successful Slovenian rower. My journey began on Lake Bled at the young age of 12. Today, with my competitive career behind me, I carry the same principles – discipline, integrity, reliability, and dedication – into the business world.

Sport shaped me. Business fulfills me.


In the boat, I learned that there are no shortcuts – only perseverance and focus lead to success. These values now guide every project I stand behind.


After concluding my athletic career, I entered the world of sport from a different angle – as an organizer, advisor, and (co-)creator of stories that help people push the boundaries of their abilities. I’ve been involved in organizing numerous international rowing events and actively contribute to the development of sport on both strategic and developmental levels. I strongly believe in the power and value of connecting different sectors – sport, business, and society.

During my athletic career, I founded the company Sport Olympus d.o.o., through which we operate across Southeast European markets with top-quality products in selected segments. With the Rowing.si online store, my goal is to bring the best products and services even closer to athletes and recreational users.
